The Asian Development Bank (ADB), supported by the Japanese government, is offering the University of Hawaii ADB Scholarship for 2025. This fully funded scholarship is available for international students from ADB member countries who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (UHM). Scholars will also participate in the East-West Center’s educational, residential, and leadership development programs.

  • English Proficiency: Must meet one of the following:
    • TOEFL: 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 79-80 (internet-based)
    • IELTS: 6.5
    • DUOLINGO: 95
  • Residency: Applicants should not be residing or working in a country other than their home country.
  • Previous Study: Not eligible if previously studied abroad (outside ADB-developing member countries) or seeking a second master’s degree.
